The NC-Double-Eh Players of the Week – Week 10
After some pretty impressive performances last week, we have named Xavier Rathan-Mayes and Nirra Fields as our NC-Double-Eh Players of the Week …
Men’s Player of the Week
Xavier Rathan-Mayes, Florida St

Toronto’s Xavier Rathan-Mayes is looking like he could be the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Year after his past week. In Florida St’s two games, he’s averaging 26 points, 5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 3 steals while shooting 21-of-41 from the floor, 6-of-15 from behind the arc and 4-of-7 from the line in 38.5 minutes. He earned conference co-rookie of the week honors but for us he’s our NC-Double-Eh Men’s Player and Rookie of the Week.
In Florida St’s 59-55 win over Clemson January 19, Rathan-Mayes had 17 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and a career high 4 steals in 39 minutes. He shot 7-of-15 from the field, including 1-of-4 from the three, and made both his free throws.
In the Seminoles’ next game January 24 Rathan-Mayes was brilliant in the tough 78-74 loss to North Carolina. He had a career high 35 points on 14-of-26 shooting, including 5-of-11 from behind the arc and making 2-of-5 free throws in his 38 minutes.
On the season, Rathan-Mayes is averaging 13.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.3 steals in 33.4 minutes. He’s shooting 41.2% from the floor and 72.5% from the line.

Olivier Hanlan, Boston College – 19 ppg, 6 rpg, 3.5 apg, 14-of-32 FGs, 7-of-12 3-PT FGs, 3-of-4 FTs, 38.5 mpg in two games.
Men’s Rookie of the Week

Women’s Player of the Week

Nirra Fields, UCLA
Despite the UCLA Bruins having two loses last week, Lachine, PQ’s Nirra Fields was brilliant in defeat. She averaged 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 4 steals in 33 minutes. She shot 16-of-40 from the floor including 6-of-11 from the three to earn the title of NC-Double-Eh Women’s Player of the Week.
In UCLA’s 79-70 loss Jaunary 23 to Stanford, Fields posted 22 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 5 steals in 32 minutes. She also shot 8-of-16 from the floor including 5-7 from behind the arc.
In the Bruins’ 72-57 loss to California two days later Fields was just as brilliant in defeat going for 19 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and a block in 34 minutes. She shot 8-of-24 from the floor including making 1-of-4 from the trey and 2-of-4 from the line.
On the season, Fields is averaging 15 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.5 steals in 32 minutes per fame.

Anna Lee Policicchio, Idaho St – 16 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 1 apg, 3.5 bpg, 14-od-22 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs, 29.5 mpg in two games.
Women’s Rookie of the Week

Adut Bulgak, Florida St
Edmonton’s Adut Bulgak came back after missing a game with a concussion and didn’t skip a beat. In Florida St’s two wins she averaged 11 points, 8.5 rebounds and a block in 27 minutes. She shot 7-of-15 from the floor, including 2-of-5 from beyond the arc, and 6-of-9 from the line making her our NC-Double-Eh Women’s Player of the Week.
In Florida St’s 68-63 win over Louisville January 22, Bulgak had 7 points, 7 rebound and an assist in 25 minutes despite being in foul trouble half of the game.
In the Seminoles’ 110-80 win over Wake Forest two days later Bulgak had 15 points, 10 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 blocks in 29 minutes. She shot 4-of-7 from the field, 1-of-2 from the three and made 6-of-9 from the line.
For the year Bulgak is averaging 13.7 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2 blocks in 27.4 minutes. She’s also shooting 52.6% from the floor, 32.5% from the trey and 73.4% from the free throw line.

Kia Nurse, Connecticut – 7 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 4.5 apg, 1.5 spg, 4-of-9 FGs, 2-of-5 3-PT FGs, 4-of-4 FTs, 22 mpg in two games.
