The evolution of the NPH Global Logo is a reflection of our journey, our mission, and the bridges we continue to build in the basketball world. Rooted in Canada, expanded to America, and now embracing the world—this logo symbolizes the spirit of North Pole Hoops as a global basketball navigation system.
From the beginning, the NPH logo has been more than a mark—it has been a compass. A symbol of guidance, direction, and purpose, designed to help players, families, and programs navigate the often overwhelming basketball landscape. The original design features a basketball intertwined with a compass, centered by the Canadian maple leaf pointing north, representing our foundation and unwavering commitment to Canada’s basketball talent.
In recent years, as NPH expanded its presence into the U.S. market, we added the southern-pointing star, illustrating the bridges built between Canada and the U.S.—two basketball powerhouses now interconnected through NPH’s scouting, exposure, and placement networks. This phase of our journey reinforced our role as the connector of talent, opportunities, and cultures between the two countries.
Today, with the launch of the NPH International Prep Placement (IPP) service, our logo evolves once again, transforming into a globe basketball compass, representing our global reach and commitment to helping athletes from every corner of the world find their path. The compass no longer just points north or south—it now circles the entire globe, embracing all directions, all countries, and all dreams.
This emblem embodies “The World to Canada. Canada to the World.” It tells the story of how NPH became the trusted pathway for international athletes entering Canada—and now expands to guide Canadian and global talent to opportunities across the world.
At its core, the NPH Global Logo is a promise—to be a trusted guide, mentor, and support system for players and families seeking clarity, direction, and opportunity in a complex basketball universe.

The NPH global vision was born organically, sparked by what we witnessed firsthand on Canadian soil. When the National Preparatory Association (NPA) launched in 2016, Canada became a magnet for talent from across the globe—athletes from Africa, Europe, Asia, the Caribbean & even America traveled to compete on Canadian courts, using the NPA as a platform to pursue prep, collegiate, and professional basketball dreams.
These players saw Canada as a gateway—a proving ground where exposure, competition, and opportunity intersected. Over the years, NPH played a critical role in facilitating their journeys, helping them navigate a complex basketball landscape.
Now, almost a decade later, the movement has come full circle. NPH, born in Canada and deeply rooted in the Canadian basketball ecosystem, is extending its reach to the world—taking our expertise, relationships, and exposure platform global. What started as “The World to Canada” is now evolving into “Canada to the World,” as NPH expands to help athletes not only come to Canada but also find opportunities abroad through prep, college, and pro pathways.
This next chapter is driven by the same mission: identify, develop, and expose talent, wherever it may be—and provide the blueprint to the next level.
