NPH International Prep School Placement Service: How it Works
I. Talent Identification & Assessment (Months 1-2):
Global Scouting Network: Leveraging an established global network of international scouts and contacts, we identify prospective players who meet specific criteria (age, skill level, academic standing, and long-term goals). This includes reviewing game film, attending tournaments, and conducting direct communication with family, coaches and players. Detailed reports on potential candidates will be provided to prospective programs.
Initial Player Assessment: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a comprehensive assessment process. This may involve:
- Video analysis: In-depth breakdown of strengths, weaknesses, and playing style.
- Statistical analysis: Evaluation of game performance metrics.
- Virtual Interviews: Initial conversations with players to gauge personality, motivation, and academic background.

II. Program Matching & Placement (Months 2-3):
Personalized Program Recommendation: Based on the assessment, we will identify the ideal prep program, best suited to each player’s skill level, aspirations, academic, cultural & financial requirements.
Connecting Prospective Program with Family: As appropriate prep options are identified, this program facilitates introductory call with program and continue communication/ coordination on both sides (family and program) to ensure smooth progression.
International Prospects: It will be the responsibility of family and school to ensure entrance into North America (I.E VISA)
III. Mentorship & Support (Ongoing):
- Mentorship: Each player will be provided mentorship—ongoing guidance, support, and feedback throughout their involvement in the NPH ecosystem.
- In-Season Check-ins: communication between the player, their mentor, and the NPH team will ensure continuous support and address any challenges.
- Exposure and Networking: Based on performance & where applicable, NPH works to maximize the player’s exposure to college coaches, and other relevant stakeholders within the basketball community. This includes connecting them with potential scholarship opportunities, representing their interest to colleges and connecting them with relevant professionals in the industry.
College recruitment updates (if applicable)
For prospects particularly in senior or post-grad year, college recruitment updates will be provided. College recruitment and scholarship opportunities on both sides of the border (Canada and America) is strictly based on performance of player on and off the floor (academically)
