Warren Ward Helps Power Snap Losing Streak

Warren Ward is a name that you should be familiar with if you’ve been following along on NorthPoleHoops.

The former Ottawa Gee-Gee star has started the next chapter of his pro career with the Mississauga Power after a stint in Germany.

warren ward power2Ward lead the Power with 28 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists to help snap the 11-game Power losing streak, defeating the Halifax Rainmen 114-85.

“Warren is a talent and a highly skilled leader,” Power Head Coach Kyle Julius told North Pole Hoops. “Aside from his tremendous resume, he is really helping grow the game in Canada by playing for the Power.”

Travis Releford flirted with a triple-double, registering 16 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds, while Tyrone Garland put in 26.

There have been several changes in the roster over the course of the season for the Power, however Julius states he is comfortable with this current group.

“This is the type of team I have spent many sleepless nights trying to build for. I am very satisfied with our roster, now it’s time to execute.”

Mississauga moves to 6-14 on the season with the 15-7 Windsor Express up next–NBLC defending champions.
