Can the Toronto Raptors Defeat Brooklyn?

The 2013-2014 version of the Toronto Raptors have surprised fans across the country, and the NBA for that matter.

The Raps have set a regular season franchise record in wins, finishing 48-34, while claiming their second Atlantic division title and securing home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

But is that enough, against an experienced Brooklyn Nets roster?

A series victory would likely pit Canada’s team against the star-studded Miami Heat–but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Although Toronto is the higher seed, they are typically overlooked around the NBA, and by the sounds of it, Brooklyn preferred this match up.

Brooklyn has a combined 459 games of playoff experience, in comparison to Toronto’s 94.

This match up could be a case of veterans stepping up for Brooklyn, or a group of young Raptor legs making their mark by taking down a tough obstacle.

Game 1 tips off Saturday, 12:30 PM at the Air Canada Centre.
