The CNIT Girls divisions will bring together some of the top established and emerging basketball talent from across Canada.

From university commits and proven high school standouts to rising prospects in the Classes of 2027 through 2032, the tournament will feature a deep collection of guards, wings and frontcourt players ready to make their mark.

The Senior Girls division includes experienced leaders, elite scorers and high-level defenders who have already earned recognition in provincial, prep and club competition. The Junior Girls division will offer an early look at the next generation of Canadian talent, with several young prospects already competing above their age level and building impressive résumés.

Here is a team-by-team breakdown of the players to watch in the CNIT Senior and Junior Girls divisions.

SENIOR GIRLS

ONE POSSESSION BASKETBALL

One Possession Basketball enters CNIT with one of the most accomplished backcourts in the Senior Girls division.

The program is led by head coach Kenny Johnson, a Philadelphia native and NBA scout who serves as the head coach of both the men’s and women’s One Possession programs.

Taylor Carwell | 2026 | 5’4” PG

Committed: Algoma University

Carwell is the captain, floor general and emotional leader of One Possession. Considered one of the top guards in Alberta, she controls the pace of the game, organizes the offence and consistently puts her teammates in positions to succeed.

Her leadership and experience will be central to One Possession’s success at CNIT.

Bella Ford | 2027 | 5’7” Guard

Ford is a lockdown defender and impactful two-way player who embraces the challenge of guarding the opposition’s best perimeter scorer.

She averaged 15 points per game in the PWBL, showing that she can produce offensively while still making a major impact on the defensive end.

Aryka Neumann | 2026 | SG

Committed: University of Maine

Neumann is an elite left-handed scoring guard and one of the most dangerous offensive players in Western Canada.

She can score at all three levels, create her own shot and punish defenders from beyond the arc. A PWBL First-Team All-Star, Neumann gives One Possession a proven scorer capable of taking over a game.

YVY BASKETBALL

YVY Basketball features a hardworking group of guards and wings whose identity is built around unselfish play, defensive intensity and strong basketball IQ.

Alexia McNally | 2027 | 5’6” PG/SF

McNally is a high-IQ, defensive-minded guard who actively seeks the assignment of defending the opposing team’s best player.

She plays unselfishly, makes winning decisions and contributes in areas that may not always appear in the box score.

Aubrey Smith | 2027 | 5’6” G/F

A school MVP and multi-year all-star from 2023 through 2026, Smith is a relentless two-way competitor.

She is a lockdown defender with a quick first step, a strong motor and the intelligence to make an impact in several roles.

Gracie Clarke | 2028 | 5’2” PG

Clarke plays much bigger than her listed height.

She is an outstanding shooter, confident ball-handler and creative playmaker who competes fearlessly against larger opponents. Her tenacity on defence and ability to generate offence make her an exciting young guard to watch.

HOOPSTARS U19

Hoopstars U19 brings a balanced roster featuring experienced guard play, shooting and an emerging interior presence.

The team is coached by Adam Petersen and enters CNIT with previous CYBL and Best on Best championship experience.

Ashley Petersen | 2026 | 5’4” PG/SG

Petersen is an excellent shooter with range that extends well beyond the three-point line.

She is also an advanced passer, a strong finisher around the rim and an effective rebounder despite her size. A four-time varsity leading scorer and three-time varsity MVP, she brings significant experience and production.

Gwen Mosqueda | 2027 | 5’4” PG/SG

Mosqueda is a physical left-handed guard with a high basketball IQ.

She welcomes contact, gets to the free-throw line and can knock down shots from the perimeter. Her strength also allows her to defend and rebound effectively against larger players.

Julia Williams | 2027 | 6’1” C

Williams is an athletic interior prospect who runs the floor hard and provides a dependable target around the basket.

She has excellent hands, a soft finishing touch and the defensive instincts to protect the rim. Despite being in her first year of rep basketball, she has already attracted attention from Laurier.

NEXT UP HOOPS

Next Up Hoops travels to CNIT with a talented group from Alberta. The team features intelligent guard play, positional versatility and strong defensive competitors.

Jenna Rouncville | 2027 | 5’6” Guard

Rouncville is a dynamic, pass-first guard who thrives in pick-and-roll situations.

She sees passing windows before they fully develop and can thread the ball through crowded areas of the floor. A multi-time Athlete of the Month, she received multiple ACAC school visit invitations and earned two MVP awards during the spring club season.

Jaelyn Lega | 2027 | 5’9” G/F

Known as “The Unicorn,” Lega has the versatility to operate as a guard, wing or forward.

She is a dangerous shooter with a quick release and can create matchup problems through her ability to play several positions.

Sophie Dennis | 2027 | 5’7” Guard

Dennis is a lockdown defender with the strength to attack the rim and finish through contact.

She is a triple-double threat through her scoring, rebounding and ability to generate steals. Dennis was named MVP at the Alley-Oop Main Event and has received opportunities to play prep basketball at WCPA.

LYNX BBF D2 BASKETBALL

Lynx BBF enters CNIT with a combination of experienced 2027 prospects and two intriguing frontcourt players from the Class of 2030.

Ines Bellahmer | 2027 | 5’10” G/F

Bellahmer is a versatile floor general with a strong understanding of the game.

She combines perimeter skills with a soft touch around the basket and averaged 18.3 points per game during the summer.

Naomy J.J. Cryer | 2027 | 5’4” PG

Cryer is a complete guard who can score, defend and lead a team.

She averaged 15.8 points per game this summer and provides consistent production on both ends of the court.

Aurelie Leblanc | 2030 | 5’10” SF

Leblanc is an athletic and agile forward who finishes effectively around the rim.

She protects the paint, rebounds at a high level and possesses the shooting touch to stretch the floor from three-point range.

Leana Chapados | 2030 | 6’2” SF/PF

Chapados is a long and intelligent forward with significant defensive upside.

Her wingspan allows her to alter shots and protect the rim, where she averages approximately three blocks per game. She can also step outside and knock down the three-point shot.

NORTH SHORE UNITED

North Shore United rounds out the Senior Girls preview with a proven lead guard who has already earned recognition at the CEGEP level in Quebec.

Nellia Belzile | 2027 | 5’4” PG

Belzile was named an RSEQ CEGEP Division 3 First-Team All-Star and helped her program earn an RSEQ silver medal.

She brings experience, composure and a strong understanding of how to lead a team from the point guard position.

JUNIOR GIRLS

DROPOFF ELITE

Dropoff Elite enters CNIT as the returning Junior Girls champions after capturing the title in 2025.

The defending champions will arrive with confidence, championship experience and another promising group of young prospects. With a target now firmly on their backs, Dropoff Elite will look to defend its crown against a deep and talented Junior Girls field.

Temilade Ayodele | 2031 |5’10 G/F

Ayodele is a poised and versatile scorer who plays with confidence and dictates the pace of the game.

She can create offence from several areas of the floor while also making an impact as a defender and shot blocker. Her combination of composure, scoring ability and defensive versatility makes her an important player for the defending champions.

Khalise Bailey-Whitfield | 2032 |5’6” PG

Bailey-Whitfield is a talented young point guard who earned CYBL All-Star recognition in 2026.

She will be one of the emerging backcourt prospects to follow as Dropoff Elite attempts to repeat as CNIT Junior Girls champions.

LEGACY PREP

Legacy Prep enters CNIT with a talented and accomplished group that has experienced considerable success in OBA and Coalition competition.

The roster features size, versatility, leadership and several players capable of contributing on both ends of the floor.

Seerit Mann | 2029 | 5’7” PG/SG

Mann is a poised and smooth guard who plays with confidence and controls the flow of the game.

Her leadership, basketball IQ and ability to elevate her teammates make her an important presence in the Legacy Prep backcourt.

She earned gold medals at the U15 and U16 Ontario Cup with the Milton Stags, won a U16 Coalition League championship and was named Rookie of the Year.

Jannah Basdeo | 2030 | 5’7” PG/SG

Basdeo is a high-intensity guard who immediately brings energy to the floor.

She changes pace effectively, uses her speed to pressure opponents and leads by example through her effort and competitiveness.

Her accomplishments include a JUMP U13 gold medal and U15 and U16 Ontario Cup gold medals with the Milton Stags.

Adalyn Lupien | 2029 | 5’7” SF

Lupien is a versatile forward who can create her own shot and contribute in several areas.

She combines skill with toughness and has established herself as a leader and tone-setter.

Lupien earned a JUMP U13 gold medal and U15 and U16 Ontario Cup gold medals with the Milton Stags.

Marly Dixon | 2028 | 5’8” SG/SF

Dixon is an aggressive lockdown defender who applies consistent pressure and disrupts the rhythm of opposing players.

She is a leader on and off the court and also dedicates time to working with younger athletes.

Dixon helped win a U15 and U16 Division 3 Ontario Cup championship and a Coalition Pool B championship. She will be working her way back following a knee injury.

Sudbury Jam features a competitive group that plays with toughness, energy and strong guard leadership.

Daphne Labelle | 2029 | 5’5” PG

Labelle is a dynamic point guard who changes speeds effectively and keeps defenders off balance.

She is also a tough and relentless defender who competes on every possession and sets the tone for her team.

Kallie Smith | 2029 | 5’9” PG

Smith is a strong leader and skilled distributor who leads her team in assists.

She is also a lethal perimeter shooter who must be accounted for at all times.

Peyton Tessier | 2029 | 5’9” SG/SF

Tessier is a high-energy two-way player who combines toughness with strong rebounding ability from the wing.

When she finds her offensive rhythm, she can become one of the most difficult players on the floor to contain.

FURY

Fury brings an athletic frontcourt that can impact the game through physicality, defence, rebounding and transition play.

Elena Isbister | 2030 | 5’8” PF/C

Isbister is a physical post player who competes relentlessly on the glass.

She establishes her position inside, embraces contact and has the ability to dominate the paint.

Fiona Duggan | 2030 | 5’9” SF

Duggan is an athletic forward with good size and perimeter shooting ability.

Her combination of mobility and shooting gives Fury additional versatility on the wing.

Daria Land | 2030 | 5’7” SF

Land is an athletic forward and defensive stopper who can change the game with her energy.

She is a constant threat in transition and looks to turn defensive pressure into quick scoring opportunities.

NORWOOD STARS

Norwood Stars features several highly accomplished young players, including prospects who have already earned individual awards and competed against older competition.

Shanai Redhead-Brown | 2031 | 5’6” PG

Redhead-Brown is a high-IQ point guard who combines shooting ability with strong playmaking instincts.

She is an effective facilitator who understands how to organize an offence and create opportunities for her teammates.

She was selected to the Junior Academy and earned MVP honours at the U13 Jane and Finch tournament.

Elizabeth Pitt | 2032 | 5’8” PG

Pitt is an athletic, aggressive and highly competitive guard who consistently competes against older players.

She combines advanced basketball IQ with shooting ability and the physical tools to make an impact on both ends.

Pitt earned MVP honours while competing in the Ontario U13 Boys division and at Pink City. She also helped her team reach the Nike EYBL finals and has already received more than five scholarship opportunities.

Mya Williams | 2028 | 5’3” PG

Williams is an intelligent point guard with excellent court vision, creative handles and confident shooting ability.

She plays physically, seeks contact and is comfortable creating for herself or her teammates.

Williams has earned Senior Girls MVP honours and was selected as a Jane and Finch All-Star.

PDM BASKETBALL

PDM Basketball features a versatile group of defenders with the size and mobility to create difficult matchups throughout the tournament.

Isabella Wong | 2028 | 5’7” PG/SG

Wong is a versatile two-way guard who can defend positions one through three.

She is a three-level scorer with reliable perimeter shooting and the ability to contribute in several different lineups.

Danielle Sam | 2028 | 6’2” SF

Sam is a long and mobile forward with the ability to defend all five positions.

She plays an effective inside-out game, runs the floor with a strong motor and presents matchup problems on both ends of the court.

Sydney Bukovec | 2028 | 5’10” SF

Bukovec is a defensive-minded wing who consistently does the small things that contribute to winning.

She sets strong screens, dives for loose balls, rebounds well and competes with a relentless motor.

Nyla Syed | 2028 | 5’6” PG

Syed is a lightning-quick guard who excels in transition.

She uses active hands to create deflections and steals and possesses a quick first step that allows her to attack downhill and finish in traffic.

DURHAM FORCE

Durham Force brings a young and athletic group that can pressure the rim, push the pace and stretch the floor.

Ivana Okebugwu | 2030 | 5’8” PF

Okebugwu is an aggressive forward whose quickness allows her to attack the basket and create opportunities around the rim.

Arya Xingyu Chen | 2030 | 5’9” SF

Chen is a long and athletic wing with a quick first step.

She can get to the rim, knock down perimeter shots and use her length defensively.

She helped her team earn a U14 OBL Division 2 silver medal.

Rylie Wong | 2031 | 5’4” PG/SG

Wong is a true pass-first point guard who looks to advance the ball quickly in transition.

Her accomplishments include two OBLX bronze medals and a 2025 Coalition gold medal.

STAC BASKETBALL

STAC Basketball features speed, athleticism and strong defensive instincts throughout its backcourt and wing group.

Gabryella Dela Pena | 2030 | 5’4” PG/SG

Dela Pena is a reliable shooter from beyond the arc who also brings strong basketball IQ and communication.

She is a vocal leader who positively impacts her team on and off the floor.

Nyla Harden | 2030 | 5’7” SF/PF

Harden is a powerful and versatile guard-wing with good size and strength.

Her track-and-field background gives her excellent speed in the open court, while her active hands allow her to disrupt passing lanes and generate fast-break opportunities.

She has earned first-place finishes in both the 100-metre and 200-metre events.

Juliette Ofosu | 2030 | 5’2” PG

Ofosu is an athletic guard with impressive rebounding ability for her size.

She plays with a strong motor and uses her speed and endurance to make an impact on both ends.

THE STAGE IS SET

The CNIT Senior and Junior Girls divisions feature a strong mix of university commits, provincial champions, proven scorers, defensive standouts and emerging young prospects.

Some players will arrive at CNIT with established names and impressive résumés. Others will use this tournament to introduce themselves to the national basketball community.

Dropoff Elite will look to defend its title, but the rest of the Junior Girls field will be coming for the champions. In the Senior division, a new team will have the opportunity to separate itself from the competition.

The stage is set. The spotlight is waiting.
