The inaugural Team Ontario alumni game last year was a memorable event that connected the basketball community with the past, present and future. Cory Joseph (San Antonio Spurs) and NBA draft prospect Anthony Bennett highlighted a gym full of talent.

Fast forward a year later and Joseph is a valuable contributor for the Spurs who are one game away from the NBA finals, and Bennett is one month away from making his dream a reality at the NBA draft–as a lottery pick nonetheless.

This summer, the U17 Team Ontario Boys Program will be hosting second Annual Team Ontario Alumni game. The event will feature The Pros versus The Future Stars followed by an Inter-Squad Game featuring this summer’s U17 Boys Ontario Team.

As you will see below, there is a list of very familiar names who have been excelling on the Canadian basketball scene for almost a decade.

The event is an opportunity to see former Team Ontario athletes such as Kaza Keane, Duane Notice, Malcolm Duvivier, Negus Webster Chan and Canada Senior National team members such as Jermaine Anderson, Jevohn Sheppard, and Denham Brown.

Last year, “The Future Stars”  opened a 20-point lead in the first half, which ended in a 20-point victory for “The Pros” after turning it up a few notches.

Looking at these rosters, the pros certainly have an edge with their size, strength and overall experience, but it will be interesting to see how the young guys respond, as they have no shortage of talent.
