Canada Basketball Fans….Big Things Are Coming!

The basketball world is well aware of what is brewing in the North; the Canadian national team has put all the pieces together highlighted by the hiring of Steve Nash as GM and the announcement of Jay Triano as Head Coach.

And let’s not forget the player personnel that Canada has at it’s disposal; from veterans like Joel Anthony and new generation NBA players such as Tristan Thompson, Cory Joseph, Andrew Nicholson, Rob Sacre–to the incoming stars including Anthony Bennett, Kelly Olynyk, Myck Kabongo, Kevin Pangos and of course…Andrew Wiggins, the #1 NBA prospect in the world not in the league. The list goes on.

“We’re really looking forward to developing these players and find them back so Canada doesn’t just get to the Olympics once in a while, that it becomes something that is consistent and something that is expected from Canadians, and something that we accomplish on a regular basis.”  – Jay Triano, Team Canada Head Coach

The Senior National Team will take the floor with a new group August 30- September 11 in Caracus, Venezuela for the FIBA Americas Championship.
