NPH Manitoba Showcase Kicks Off!
WINNIPEG,MB–McDole’s Gym kicked off day one of the NPH Manitoba Showcase with U of M Bison players Xavier Smith & Jonar Huertas assisting in the strength & conditioning sessions, putting the players to work!
The prospects were split into two groups; one on the strength and conditioning circuit, & the other working on basketball specific drills. Half the battle was attending the showcase, while the other half is applying the skills learned to a daily routine.
Junior Sesay (2013 6’2 G/ Oak Park) highlights the crop of talent in attendance. Sesay has been on the national radar in the past including a national cadet team invitation as well as a solid showing last summer at nationals
Other notable players on day one included Jordan Kelly (2012 6’3 G/ Garden City), Gee-ef Nkwonta (2012 5’10 PG/ Fort Richmond) and Avery Cadougan (2014 6’4 W/St John’s Ravencourt) to name a few.
However, day two will feature all prospects competing on the hardwood in attempt to distinguish themselves amongst their peers and give the NPH team an opportunity to further evaluate what Manitoba has to offer.
In other words, it’s GAME TIME!
