Mattia Colangelo Puts up Career-High 40 for Upper Canada College
Mattia Colangelo of Upper Canada College erupted for a career-high 40 points in the Whitby Oshawa Invitational against the home team Anderson Raiders; he was named as a tournament all-star for his production.
Colangelo, among the top snipers in the country, shot the ball with great efficiency, going 7-of-13 from behind the arch.
The 6’3 combo guard brings a high I.Q and is typically a plus on the floor. Defensively, he plays with great effort accompanied with good length and athleticism. Off the floor, Colangelo is an A+ student pursuing a high academic situation at the post-secondary level; he is currently in the 2016 class, however could reclass to 2017.
For programs looking for a player to spread the floor, Mattia Colangelo is proven in that regard.
The game of basketball is ingrained in Mattia.
If the last name sounds familiar, that would be because he’s the son of Bryan Colangelo, former Toronto Raptors General Manager.
