British Columbia Future Stars 24 – Grade 9 (class of 2014)

VANCOUVER,BC–This year’s Inaugural DRIVE Future Stars Top 24 Classic will feature the best and brightest young players in British Columbia. This first of a kind grass-roots event will include All-Star games for the Class of 2015 (Grade 8), Class of 2014 (Grade 9) and Class of 2013 (Grade 10). The event will take place on March 26th and will be played at the ex-home of the Vancouver Grizzlies, one of the best basketball courts Canada has to offer.

Congratulations to the following 24 Gr.9 (Class of 2014) players for being selected to the Future Stars 24 Game.

Matt Chow G Vancouver College 1st Team All-Star at Gr.9 BC’s, MVP of DRIVE Gr.9 Classic, Numerous other All-Stars.
Will Latu F Vancouver College 2nd Team All-Star at Gr.9 BC’s, 1st Team DRIVE Gr.9 Classic, Standout Post Player.
Alex Coote G West Point Grey Playing Sr. and making big contributions, a talented wing with nice size.
David Yap G Richmond One of the best PG’s in the 2014 Class. Led Richmond to the Gr.9 BC’s and V&D Championship.
James Hynes G Kitsilano All-Star at Gr.9 Provincials and lead player for Kits.
James Choi G St.Georges 1st Team All-Star at Gr.9 BC’s, a slick combo guard who can score inside and out.
Hayden LeJeune F Vedder Middle 6’6 Forward was the top player for a very good Vedder team from Chilliwack.

Denver Sparks-Guest F Centennial A top player in the Valley with good rebounding skills and range on his jump-shot.
Sukhjot Bains F Tamanawis Dominant season for this intriguing prospect. A top player in Surrey with lots of potential.
Ryan Cowley F Delta 6’5, A top post player who had a big season playing up for Delta. Hard worker.
Buzz Truss F Dr. Knox Jr. BC MVP, led Dr.Knox to the Provincial Final with a big tournament.
Luke Columbine G Clarement Island standout with numerous awards.
Matt Rud G SMUS A top player on the Island with solid skills and smarts.
Thaddeus Melaku G McMath One of the top players in Richmond, a good defender and scorer off the dribble.

The Gr.9 (Class of 2014) Future Stars 24 Game will take place on Saturday, March 26th at 5:00pm.
Each team will have a practice/shoot-around in the AM of the Games.
Coaches for each team will be announced later this week.
