2020 in Canada has proven to be a very deep class. The fact Jordan Nelson is still on the board is what speaks to that depth. He made a splash onto the Canadian basketball prep season as of last summer at the Toronto NPH Exposure Camp. From there, he was recruited by several prep schools before taking the reigns at London Basketball Academy under Coach Angelo Provenzano. Today he’s being recruited hard by Canadian University programs and has built interest from the D1 and D2 levels.
Nelson’s speed and athleticism along with his ability to finish through contact is thoroughly impressive. It put a lot of pressure on defenses. Opposing teams had to plan for him because he’s the guy setting up offense for LBA. Because of his speed he’s able to get by most defenders and get defenses to collapse.
Whoever get’s him has an all-conference potential piece. In the job of projections and evaluations, Nelson sticks out as one that has major upside at the next level.
