The National Basketball League of Canada kicks off this winter and as rosters are finalized for the 2015-2016 season, we take a look back at the Canadians hired in the 2014-2015 campaign.

The NBLC is currently Canada’s only PRO league and is heading into its’ fifth year, with plans of offering more opportunities for Canadian content.

“The goal this season is to see between 40-50 Canadians in the league and there is little doubt that can increase in the minimum levels of Canadians will be discussed and implemented in the near future,” NBLC Commissioner David Magley told NPH.

Magley and the NBLC have been travelling the content looking for new talent to add to the 8-team league.

“Between all 18 days of the international summer combine series, we will see over 750 young prospects,” explained Magley.

“We expect 40+ contracts to be offered and our brand has become most recognized around North America. Young men from all over Canada and the USA are now aware of the opportunities in the NBLC.”
