Adidas honours Wiggins’ with Rookie of the Year shoes

As you should already know, Vaughan, ON’s Andrew Wiggins was named the NBA Rookie of the Year earlier Thursday making him the first Canadian to earn the honour.  And for the occasion Adidas, who the budding star has an endorsement deal with, is set to release a special makeup.

The Adidas Crazy Light Boost model is multi coloured and takes the colour inspiration from, according the the Adidas press release, his home country, his university and his current team.  The colour blocking is set in maple leaf looking shapes all on a white upper.  The best part of the shoes, for me at least, are the accents on the tongues.  Within a ball on the left shoe it has his initials and on the right shoe it reads R.O.Y 2015.

Set to release Friday in select Foot Locker locations, including the 247 Yonge St spot in downtown Toronto, this should be a pretty hot pick up for you sneaker lovers.  The run on adidas.com has already sold out so lining up or calling a cousin in the States to line up for you may be your only way to get a pair now.
