Taylor Browne has committed to the UBC Thunderbirds.

The 6’3 combo guard is one of the top senior prospects in the province and #NPH100 Nationally-ranked.

Browne, who attends Holy Cross secondary, is a very strong pick up for UBC’s Head Coach Kevin Hanson.

The Thunderbirds bring in a high character, versatile guard with upside–a player that can defend with his size, length and speed, and offensively can shoot it or finish at the rim.

Newly hired assistant coach Pasha Bains says Browne was a top priority, “Taylor was the first person I called when named assistant coach.”

Browne could have waited for the summer to make a decision or taken a post-grad year to pursue NCAA options, however he is confident in the direction of the program.

“Are you looking at the scholarship as a prize, or a fit? This is a good fit. Taylor is a big name in the BC basketball scene,” Bains told North Pole Hoops.

And if all goes to plan, Browne will be a big name at UBC for years to come.
