Simi Shittu Drawing Andrew Wiggins Comparisons

Our friends at City League Hoops just released this video of Simi Shittu  (Burlington, ON / Corpus Christi) with a comparison to Andrew Wiggins. (Vaughan, ON).

Anytime you associate the name of a young high school prospect with that of an NBA player, (let alone  the #1 overall draft pick), expectations from fans and observers automatically increase.

Simi Shittu Player ProfileAt this stage in his young career, Shittu is without question superior in the 2018 class in Canada, and possibly in America for that matter. Like Wiggins was, Shittu is the #1-ranked prospect in the country.

At 6’8, Shittu is a specimen with a high motor and developing skill set. Over the summer, Shittu and his CIA Bounce team dominated the competition on the AAU scene, while impressing at various camps, much like Wiggins and his fellow teammates Tyler Ennis and Xavier Rathan-Mayes.

Throughout this high school season, Shittu has displayed his versatility and more to his game than just unique physical attributes.

Shittu told CLH, “I have to focus on myself and not get caught up in the media.”

As an underclassmen, Shittu still has a long way to go to reach Wiggins’ level, but the sky is the limit, and he’s on the right path.
