It`s official, Braeden Anderson is a Jayhawk!

WILBRAHAM,MA–Braeden Anderson, NPH #6-ranked prospect officialy committed to the Kansas Jayhawks today! The Okotoks, Alberta product is the fifth Canadian prospect to join a High-major NCAA program, making Canadian history!

The 6’9 forward foresees a great opportunity to step into the Jayhawks program, with the departure of brothers Marcus and Markieff to the NBA draft.

“Kansas is just such a good fit with the twins leaving, and I want to get better and work with Danny Manning.” (KU assistant coach)

Anderson is part of a historic Canadian class among the likes of Myck Kabongo (Texas), Khem Birch, (Pittsburgh) Kyle Wiltjer, (Kentucky) and Kevin Thomas, (Texas) to name a few.

He is as greatful as any player in his position, and remains close to his roots.

“I`m so proud to be Canadian, I`m repping Western Canada. There are so many other kids who deserve this.”

Anderson will be participating in the Derby Festival Basketball Classic on April 21, 2011. This event features some of America’s top prospects.
