Coach John Beilein, Michigan & NCAA programs Recruiting in Canada

Michigan basketballJohn Beilein, Head Coach of the Michigan Wolverines (BIG 10) will be in Canada today checking in on Kitchener, Ontario’s Jamal Murray of Athlete Institute and Milton, Ontario product Christian David of Bishop Reding- both current NPH #1-ranked Canadian prospects in their respective class..

Michigan’s last Canadian on board was Nik Stauskas, a recent lottery pick for the Sacramento Kings.

Murray is proven at every level and will ultmately be one of the best in North America out of his class. A special talent.

David is a 6’5 shooting guard whose recruitment has taken off over the summer, following MVP performance at the NPH Showcase and a strong summer with S-Elite.

oregon logoOregon Ducks Assistant Mike Mennenga is also checking in on David, along with a plethora of Canadian talent, after securing a major piece in Mississauga, Ontario’s Dillon Brooks for the 2014-2015 season.

The NCAA recruitment period is in full effect and programs south of the border will have a presence in Canada like never before.
