Salary: $18 / Per Hour

Weekly Hours: 2 hours during the week (debriefing and planning) + 18 In event hours 

 

Job Description:

 

We are seeking a proactive and organized Site Manager to play a vital role in the successful execution of our events. The Site Manager will be responsible for setting up and overseeing event operations, ensuring smooth execution, and handling in-game situations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the seamless flow of our events while gaining valuable experience in event management and sports operations.

 

Responsibilities:

 

League Administration:

 

  • Participate in weekly meetings within the League department to delegate tasks / debriefing on PRE and POST events.

 

Operational Oversight:

 

  • Assist the League Manager on site visits prior to events (When applicable)
  • Execute and continuously improve operational processes, procedures, and checklists to maximize efficiency

 

Communication and Promotion:

  • Coordinate with the League Manager to develop growth and success plans for operations staff, including Site Managers.
  • Align operation staff with senior leadership’s vision for a unified sense of direction and purpose.
  • Use communication platforms to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Communicate with coaches and problem-solve related issues as the primary point of contact on-site.

 

Event Management:

 

  • Familiarize yourself with the game schedule, referee schedule, and staff schedule.
  • Ensure that all staff members are properly set up and in their assigned positions- Contact absent staff members if needed.
  • Set up the event area with banners and front desk materials.
  • Prepare and ensure that tablets are charged and ready for use (using the Swish App).
  • Equip each score table with the necessary tools for game operation, including tablets, possession arrows, scoreboards, shot clocks, towels, mops, rulebooks, and clothes.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the event are starting on time.
  • Make informed decisions for in-game situations, including those involving teams, players, and referees.
  • De-escalate issues from parents or other attendees.
  • Receive feedback from Gameleads and incorporate it into future event planning.

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to make quick decisions in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in event management or sports operations is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with sports event equipment and materials is preferred.
