Historic Move Establishes Northern & Southern Conferences, Launching Cross-Border Competition and Official U.S. Expansion for NPH

Dallas, TX – Faith Family Academy has officially joined the Women’s National Preparatory Association (WNPA) for the 2026–2027 season, making history as the first full-time American league member in the North Pole Hoops (NPH) ecosystem. This landmark moment establishes Faith Family Academy as the founding member of WNPA USA, signaling the official beginning of NPH’s long-anticipated expansion into the United States.

Based in Dallas, Texas, Faith Family enters the WNPA as a highly regarded and ranked team, coming off of an invitation to Chipotle Nationals last year—establishing the lady Eagles as one of the Top four teams in the U.S.

With a strong legacy of state titles and player development, the program emphasizes not only winning, but also moving athletes to the collegiate level.

Returning to Canada this Season For WNPA Exhibition

Lead by legendary Head Coach Andrea Robinson, Faith Family Academy returns to Canada this season, following their first trip last year where they competed against some of Nation’s best programs. Coach Robinson made history on Canadian soil, picking up her 600th win.

This roster is star-studded, Featuring Washington commit Amayah Garcia (ESPN #46-ranked) 2028 KK Ozumba (ESPN watchlist) who holds 10 High major offers, 2027’s Cass Antoine, Brooklyn Smith—hidden gems expected to be in the ESPN Top 100 by season’s end, coming off major AAU seasons. 2027 Madisyn Aldridge & uncommitted seniors Shaniya Perkins, Jazlyn Powell all hold NCAA D1 offers.

Northern (Canada) & Southern (USA) Conferences Forming

With this move, the WNPA formally introduces a Northern Conference (Canada) and a Southern Conference (United States), bringing together elite prep women’s basketball programs under one unified structure. Teams from both countries will compete in cross-border competition, with American teams traveling north and Canadian teams competing south of the border — strengthening athletic, cultural, and educational ties between the two nations.

“This is one of the most historical milestones in the 15+ year history of North Pole Hoops,”

– Tariq Sbiet, CEO of NPH.

“What started as a vision to build basketball in Canada has now grown into a truly international platform. Faith Family Academy stepping forward as the founding member of WNPA USA marks a new era — connecting North and South, Canada and America, in a way that will transform opportunities for women in basketball for generations to come.”

This USA expansion move comes on the heels of NPH first international league launched in Dubai in September.

As part of the WNPA, Faith Family Academy and all member programs gain access to the marketing, scouting, recruitment, and organizational infrastructure of NPH’s global basketball platform. This support ensures student-athletes are showcased to top collegiate programs and professional opportunities worldwide, while providing schools with the systems and visibility needed to grow their programs.

“Faith Family is excited to be a founding member of the WNPA USA. This league is structured to provide elite programs with next level competition on the court as well as innovative marketing strategies and support designed to cater to the needs of the modern student-athlete.”

– Kadi Creel, Associate Head Coach of Faith Family Academy.

The WNPA has already established itself as a pioneering model for women’s prep basketball in Canada. With the launch of WNPA USA and the creation of cross-border competition, the league is setting a new standard for collaboration, exposure, and development in North American women’s basketball.
