Ontario runs the table at Canada Basketball Nationals in Quebec

What a week of basketball. 6 day event held at Bishops University in Sherbrooke, Quebec that united the whole country. Fans of all ages came together to witness the future of Canadian Basketball.

From Overtime thrillers, unreal comebacks, eyepopping plays, & breakout performances. Memorable experience for everyone involved.

For the players, this was a moment that’ll forever stick with them. The opportunity to represent your Province & compete against players from all over the country is something every single player that competed should be proud & grateful for, regardless of result.

For the coaches, we were able to watch them bring a talented group of prospects together for a common goal which at times, might not be easy considering these are the best each Province has to offer.

Special shoutout to Marlon Green, Joel Friesen, & Andrew Andredi in particular. Coaches of the generationally talented 15U Ontario team that went undefeated on the way to becoming Champions. For a team as talented as they are to come together so selflessly says a lot about the leadership.

Immediately after, Ontario 17Us completed the sweep in fashion winning the Championship game against Alberta.

Something else that stood out to me was how both divisions had the same final 4. Ontario, Quebec, BC, Alberta. Shows how far BC & Alberta have come in particular & how much more parity there is in today’s game.

In case you missed it, Championship games along with the tournament in it’s entirety can be rewatched at youtube.com/canadabasketball
