CIS Top 10 Rankings – Ryerson Rams, Ottawa Gee-Gees Cement Top Two Spots
The CIS has released its latest Top 10 rankings, and the Ryerson Rams have passed another test, with flying colours as they picked up a statement victory over then #4-ranked Brock 104-79.
Aaron Best has been turning it up, averaging 29 points and eight rebounds in the last two games.
The #1 Rams take on the neighboring Varsity Blues during NBA All-Star weekend, before hitting the road on a 4-game swing to close off the regular season.
Ottawa Gee-Gees Hold Tight to #2
The Ottawa Gee-Gees took care of business against Carleton again, now 2-0 in the regular season against the defending champion Ravens. They did it without arguably the top player in the nation in Caleb Agada.
Ottawa picked up the 78-72 win, lead by Mike L’Africain (23 points), Mehdi Tihani (13) Matt Plunkett (14) off the bench.
Like Carleton, the Gee-Gees take on two Top-10 opponents this weekend, back to back on the road, in #6 McMaster and #5 Brock.
