Nishayne Sharpe, Eric Carson, and Anei Majock lead Strive Hoops at NPH Showcase League
Session 7 of the Northpolehoops Showcase saw some of Ontario’s best basketball players in the 2025, ’26, ’27, and ’28 classes. The players listed below showcased their skillsets and impressed the NPH Scouting Team with their abilities. Enjoy!
2026 5’10 Guard Nishayne Sharpe / Strive Hoops
Sharpe is an athletic guard with a poised style of play. He does not panic when on the basketball court which allows him to make smart plays on both ends of the floor. On the offensive side of things, Sharpe excels as a scorer and facilitator. He is relied upon as an on-court extension of the coach and is relied upon to run the offence. He is a reliable leader able to communicate to his teammates where exactly they need to be depending on the play being ran. This ability communicate spans across all aspects of the game for Sharpe. As a scorer, Nishayne is an aggressive downhill finisher. He is a comfortable ball-handler which, combined with his talents as a scorer, allows him to knock shots down from all areas of the floor. He can get hot from behind the arc and is confident shooting from three-point territory. Last but not least, Sharpe is an excellent defender as a result of his quickness, strength, and defensive anticipation. He is most often seen guarding multiple players on the opposing team which is a testament to his switch-ability and versatile defense. Sharpe is a multi-positional defender, a reliable playmaker, and a multi-level scorer.
2026 6’6 Forward Eric Carson / Strive Hoops
Carson is a versatile, athletic forward who excels on the interior as well as the perimeter on both ends of the floor. As a perimeter defender, Carson utilizes his lateral quickness to keep smaller guards in front of him. As an interior defender, his length and strength allows him to prevent larger forwards from attacking the rim. In addition, Eric’s anticipation and ability to time his jumps intelligently deem him a talented shot-blocker. On the offensive end, Carson is trusted to bring the ball up the floor as he is a comfortable ball-handler. He is utilized as a secondary playmaker and knows how to use his high basketball IQ to make the right plays. His versatility allows him to attack the hoop off the dribble and his toughness allows him to finish through contact. A very talented player with even more potential to be great given his size and skill and only being in the 10th grade. Keep an eye on Eric Carson!
2026 6’5 Forward Anei Majock / Strive Hoops
Majock is a tall, lengthy forward who’s basketball smarts are evident when he steps on the floor. He is extremely versatile, a skill that is quite impressive for someone so tall at such a young age. Majock, despite not being the biggest guy on the floor, does not shy away from contact and in turn welcomes it when driving to the hoop. He has also shown an ability to score from behind the arc off the catch, yet another impressive offensive skill for this agile young forward. On the defensive end, Anei uses his length to turn away shots at an elite level. He knows how to control his jump timing to the best of his ability. He is still quite raw but has already shown flashes of his extremely impressive and ever-expanding repertoire. Bright future ahead for Majock!
2026 5’10 Point Guard Mohammed Alqahwaji / London Royals
Alqahwaji is a quick, shifty guard capable of scoring from all areas of the basketball court. He excels at being able to finish at the rim in a variety of ways. He is a strong finisher on the interior and does not shy away from contact. Another impressive aspect of Mohammed’s game is his ball-handling, he is more than comfortable with the basketball in his hands and is explosive enough to the point that he can switch speeds instantly and drive to the hoop. Last but not least, Algahwaji is comfortable running the offense and is seen leading the offence at multiple instances.
2026 5’11 Guard MacLean Wilkinson / Burlington Force Elite
Wilkinson is an excellent two-way player and is always very active on both ends. On O, MacLean operates in a highly intelligent manner always playing within the flow of the team’s offence. He is an elite three-point shooter and is capable of pulling up from long range. He can also take it to the rim and finish through contact given his tough style of play. On defense, he is very active and always has his head on a swivel watching his man and the ball. Wilkinson is a talented player on both ends of the basketball court and will only continue to get better with experience.
2026 5’11 Guard Austin Brown / WPA Suns
Brown is a pesky guard capable of making an impact on both ends. On the offensive end, he is comfortable handling the basketball and can score from multiple levels. He excels as a strong finesse-finisher on the interior and is not afraid of finishing through contact. He has consistently put up impressive stat-lines at the NPH Showcase Leaguu scoring 20+ on multiple occasions. Austin is also more than comfortable running the offence as he is seen creating for himself and teammates. On the defensive end, Brown has quick hands & feet allowing him to pick the pockets of opposing players. He is quite strong and is seen ripping the ball away from opposing players regularly on a game-by-game basis. Austin Brown is a microwave scorer who can defend as well as facilitate, lots to like about his game!
2025 6’3 Center Blake Brnardic / WPA Suns
Brnardic is a double-double machine on the interior. On the defensive end, Blake moves his feet well on the perimeter and can block shots due to his impressive defensive anticipation. He has shown an ability to stay down when opposing player’s pump-fake. As a rebounder, he fights for positioning and battles for boards. He uses his large frame and strong physique to bully the ball away from opposing players. On the offensive end, Brnardic’s aggressive playstyle allows him to set up in the low post, receive the ball, and finish overtop defenders.
2026 6’4 Guard Will Halward / Wolverines Elite
Halward is an elite three-point shooter as a result of his relocation ability. He is constantly moving to create space for himself. This constant movement results in the creation of space for his teammates as well, therefore he directly contributes to improved spacing for his team. On the defensive end, Will uses his agility to ‘stay on his toes’ so to speak laterally. His strong frame allows him to go head-to-head with the opposing team’s stronger players.
2025 6’5 Center Kieren Kleisath / Wolverines Elite
Kleisath is a lengthy center who’s presence is felt on the interior on both ends. On the offensive end, he is a high-IQ post player with an impressive soft touch around the rim. He is a versatile rim-runner and knows where to best position himself inside. He excels as a PnR big and cuts to the basket with aggression off the pick. Kieren always does his best to stay active around the rim, this is most evident when he positions himself for rebounds. He creates second-chance opportunities and does little things like racking up tip-ins. Kleisath may not be the flashiest of players but his impact is definitely felt all over the floor.
2027 6’2 Forward Nico Cameron / Burloak Elite
Cameron is a very aggressive, physical player on both ends. He forces his way to the hoop but can also knock shots down from three and mid-range consistently. He is able to create off the dribble but is also more than comfortable shooting off the catch. Combined with his physique and strong style of play is Nico’s versatility which helps him attack defenders on offence, and guard multiple positions on defense. Nico Cameron is already 6’2 and is only in the ninth grade, he is bound to grow even more and with his current skillset could be a top Canadian talent in his class, watch out Canada!
