CNIT: 10U Division Preview

Brampton Brade comes into the U10 Canadian National Invitational Tournament as the top seed after a silver medal finish at the OBAs and so far undefeated run at the CYBL summer league.

Coach Shaun Brade and his Brampton team relies on their defensive style of basketball, getting up the and down the floor as they love to run off of turnovers and rebounds.

The Mississauga Monarchs were also strong in this years OBAs with a solid division 1, 4th place finish, coming within one point of defeating the aforementioned Brampton (Brade).

With coach Chungs aggressive style of play, these Monarchs will be a tough bunch to handle.

After capturing third place in division two, and winning division three OBAs, Gator Elite has combined both teams and are steadily situated at three.

The team has a good mix of ball handlers and size and will be able to compete against anyone.

Team Murray have been added to the pool bringing the tri-city regions best talent in the age division to the CNIT.

Halton basketball, Brampton Terone, Sun Youth and Niagara Tigers round out spots the bottom half of the standings.

Halton, a division 3 team in the OBAs this year continue to have a promising CYBL summer league, currently at five wins with one loss.

Brampton Terone started as a winter selected team that will be competing in their first summer as an official representative team.

Brampton Terone has placed 2nd in the winter PTR (Pound the Rock League) and 3rd in the u11/u12 division at the Royal City Rumble Tournament in Guelph.

Sun Youth is the only out of province team within the division as the boys from Quebec look forward to bringing their aggressive style of play all the while leaving their mark.

Niagara Tigers will bring ball movement, player movement and hard man to man defence to the table as they look to surprise
