Hannah Jardine and Megan Smith earn Week 15 Honors

Women’s Player of the Week

Hannah Jardine, Delaware

Despite her team taking two tough losses last week, Delaware’s Hannah Jardine played her ususal consistently good self. In two games she averaged 15 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in 39 minutes. She shot 9-of-23 from the field, 6-of-10 from the three line and 6-of-7 from stripe to earn our NC-Double-Eh Women’s Player of the Week.

In Delaware’s 71-68 loss to UNC-Wilmington February 26, Jardine had 16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals in 40 minutes. She shot 4-of-10 from the floor, 2-of-4 from the three and 6-of-6 from the line.

In the Blue Hens’ 74-71 loss to James Madison three days later Jardine had 14 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block in 38 minutes. She shot 5-of-13 from the field including 4-of-4 from behind the arc.

For the season Jardine is averaging 12 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists in 34.8 minutes. She’s shooting 44.2% from the floor, 44.7% from the three and 90.6% from the line.

 

Honorable Mention:

Victoria Rampado, Niagara – 14.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 2 apg, 1 spg, 9-of-26 FGs, 1-of-2 3-PT FGs, 6-of-8 FTs, 27.5 mpg in two games.

Women’s Rookie of the Week

Megan Smith, Robert Morris

Megan Smith had another great week for Robert Morris. She helped the Colonials split their games last week averaging 11.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 blocks in 29 minutes. She shot 6-of-16 from the floor, 2-of-5 from behind the arc and 9-of-10 from the foul line to earn our NC-Double-Eh Women’s Rookie of the Week.

In Robert Morris’ 69-60 loss to Sacred Heart February 23, Smith had 5 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks in 26 minutes.

In the Colonials 71-60 win over Saint Francis U three days later Smith had 18 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 block in 32 minutes. She shot 5-of-10 from the floor, 2-of-4 from the three and 6-of-6 from the line.

For the year, Smith is averaging 9.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists in 26.1 minutes. She’s shooting 42.3% from the field, 42.3% from behind the arc and 77.2% from stripe.

Brianna Cohen, Detroit – 11 ppg, 4 rpg, 2 apg, 2.5 spg, 2 bpg, 10-of-21 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs, 26.5 mpg in two games.
