Kyle Lowry had himself a month, with Demar Derozan out of the line up.

For his services, Lowry was named Eastern Conference Player of the month (December) for the first time in his career.

The Raptors point guard filled the stat sheet, averaging 22.3 points, 8.9 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 steals in the month, shooting 46% from the field, 40% from 3-point line, while leading Toronto to an 11-4 record.

Lowry became the second Raptor ever to receive this award, as Chris Bosh did it in January of 2007.

This honor is reserved for the most elite in the league, and Lowry has proven time and time again that he belongs in that category.

James Harden of the Houston Rockets earned Western Conference player of the month for December.
