31st Court Heinbuch Classic Kicking Off, Can Local Team Capture Title?

The Heinbuch Classic is set to start this weekend and there is one burning question that everyone has – will a Kitchener or Waterloo team finally win the damn thing?!

At last years Heinbuch, St. Mary’s, out of Kitchener, was oh so close to finally breaking the 30 year streak but they lost 69-57 in the finals to Oakwood.

The Barons became only the second team in the tournament’s history to three-peat, and now will be looking to be the only team to win the Heinbuch four years in a row.

St, Mary’s, on the other hand, are looking not only to take the championship home this year but also to break out of a shaky start so far this season as they have massively under achieved, especially at the Father Henry Carr Early Bird Tournment.

St. Mary’s will be one of six KW teams looking to finally bring the Heinbuch Classic Championship back home.
