LAS VEGAS, NV–2013 G Manroop Clair had the game of his life against one of the top AAU teams in the country in Houston Hoops which featured several High-Major talents on the squad. Duke Commit, Rasheed Sulaimon was given the duty to defend Clair, a tough task to ask of anyone, and the DRIVE 6’3 guard out of British Columbia proved his worth in America on a major stage.
NCAA coaches raved about Clair in the bleachers with comments like “This kid is crazy.” He displayed his superior scoring ability, connecting on seven three-pointers to register 27 points for Drive. Clair put on a show in Vegas and proved to be a lethal weapon, disregarding any defender he had to face.
Clair possesses ultimate confidence in himself and the charisma that is rare to find, especially at the high school level.
Throughout the course of the game, Clair really got under the skin of Duke Commit Rasheed Sulaimon.
“”I hit a shot and I said; you’re going to Duke?”
Immediately, Sulaimon addressed this comment and the two continued to exchange words throughout the game.
“If you can’t guard a guy like me, maybe you should be going to community college,” Clair continued to tease.
The 2013 stud for Drive will undoubtedly continue to raise his stock on both sides of the border. If the Americans liked this performance, they will surely witness more of Clair this upcoming season as he will more than likely be heading to prep school in September.
Clair understands the importance of each performance in Vegas, and has brought his A game, locked and loaded on every possession.
“The coaches are here watching, you have to try even harder. You can’t play weak out here.”
