HUNTINGTON, WV–About a month after NPH broke the news on Xavier Rathan-Mayes electing to play for the power house Findlay Prep Pilots, circumstances have changed for the 2013 6’4 guard. “X” will instead be attending Huntington Prep this fall to join a pack of fellow Canadians, AAU teammates [CIA BOUNCE] and friends.

Rathan-Mayes will become the fifth Canadian on the roster joining Negus Webster-Chan, Sim Bhullar, Tanveer Bhullar and Stefan Jankovic.

One source close to the situation tells NPH, “He wants to be the man on the floor.”

With this in mind, Huntington seems to be a better fit as Rathan-Mayes will be one of the main offensive weapons accompanied by AAU teammates who are very familiar with his game.

This was a major pick up for Coach Rob Fulford and co. as the Huntington Express will aim to improve on an already successful season that saw the program nationally ranked as high as #14 by MaxPreps, along with a 25-3 overall record.
