RICHMOND, BC–NorthPoleHoops.com is proud to present the first ever “NPH British Columbia Showcase” hosted by DRIVE basketball!
The West coast has been neglected for far too long, despite producing the best Canadian to ever play the game, back-to-back NBA MVP, Steve Nash.
In addition, current promising talent to come out of British Columbia and compete in the NCAA ranks include Robert Sacre, (Gonzaga) Kelly Olynyk, (Gonzaga) Emerson Murray and (California) Marc Trasolini (Santa Clara) to name a few.
The purpose of this event is to identify and evaluate a bulk of the top talent in the province in order to expose British Columbia’s players on a national scale!
BC standouts have recently set their mark on the national program including Cadet invitees, Jadon Cohee and Tristan Etienne.
Chase Ruttenberg and Jamie Madewan were the others representing the province.
On the junior level, BC also has four invitees including Marek Klassen, Matt Letkeman, Braxton Bunce and Philip Scrubb.
“Basketball in BC is really improving and there is a spike of talent coming up at the younger levels, particularly U15 and U13,” explained Pasha Bains, Founder of DRIVE basketball Academy.
“The next few years will see some big things from kids out West!” Bains continued.
NPH is excited to be accepted by the West Coast and ready to witness what British Columbia has to offer!
A special acknowledgment goes to DRIVE basketball for making this event possible!
