Battle of the Boards Preview

TORONTO,ON--The second annual and much anticipated “Battle of the Boards” takes place Wednesday night (March 30, 2011) showcasing some of the top talent in and around the GTA. This marks one of the few times left to catch some of Canada’s top talents as many of them will be heading state-side to play at they’re desired Prep Schools or committed colleges. It also allows scouts to get a closer look at some who haven’t garnered enough attention throughout the season.

Among those invited are Gonzaga commit Kevin Pangos, 6’6′ sensational swingman and reigning quad A OFSAA champion Andrew Wiggins, Eastern Commerce’s Aaron Best, Oakwood high flyer Kevin Blake and the dynamic shooting guard Justin Edwards of the reigning AAA OFSSA champion Anderson CVI out of Whitby.

The festivities begin with the Toronto Catholic school all-stars taking on Peel’s regions finest (not the boys in blue), and ends with the Durham region’s best taking on the star studded boys from York. The evening also features a 3 point and Dunk contest which is sure to entertain.
