Muon Reath Commits to Ottawa’s Topflight Academy of National Preparatory Association
Ottawa, Ontario’s Top Flight Academy has received a big commitment from 6’5 Muon Reath, part of the class of 2021.
Young, raw and loaded with upside, Reath is a member of the Canada Basketball Junior Academy and provincial team.
“Muon has all the tools and potential to be one of the best players to come out of Ottawa,” said program head Tony House.
“The fact that he attends CTA in grade 9 is a testament to his commitment and focus on being the best student-athlete he can be. He knows he needs to be pushed so playing against older players everyday will only develop him long term.”
Reath, an Ottawa native, competed in the Toronto Junior NPH Showcase, where he was selected to the Top prospects game and proved to be one of the most intriguing prospects at camp.
Muon played his early basketball career with the Ottawa Shooting Stars organization and played this year at St. Patrick’s Middle School where he was able to earn an elementary city championship under the tutelage of coach Patrick McKinnon.

Muon was a major contributor for the under 14 Ottawa Elite program who were the 4th ranked team in the province this past year.
Muon, still 13, brings a willing attitude, shooting ability, and potential to be a strong foundational piece of the program for years to come.
Muon Reath will compete in the National Preparatory Association and receive high level competition at a young age, serving as a key development tool to help him maximize his potential.
Welcome to the league.
A National Inspired.
