Eastern Commerce Holiday Classic Tips Off For the Last Time
With the school closing down at the end of this year, so will Eastern Commerce basketball.
However, that has not stopped Coach Kevin Jeffers and his Saints from competing for every inch in their final season.
The final year of the Eastern Commerce Holiday Classic tournament (DEC 11-13) features teams from across the Greater Toronto Area, plus Ottawa’s St Pats making the trip.
Fresh off the Vaughan Classic Championship, Eastern, a Top-10 Ranked team, enters the tournament as the favourite.
That being said, there are several teams capable of taking the chip, including Thornlea, Emery (winners of the Double Blue tourny), West Humber (making steady progress) or maybe PIckering High, who just began their season, recently giving Pine Ridge a scare, in a one-point loss.
