Oregon Adds Third Canadian in 6’10 Chris Boucher
Chris Boucher (Montreal, Quebec) made his commitment to Oregon over the weekend, making it three Canadian Ducks on the 2015-2016 roster.
The program recently secured the services of high energy guard Dylan Ennis (Brampton, ON), who will bring toughness, defense and play-making ability, while rising sophomore Dillon Brooks (Mississauga, ON) looks to follow up on a PAC 12 All-rookie season.
Boucher is a 6’10 skilled, mobile big man with the ability to finish above the rim and score from both the mid and long-range.
Defensively, he is a gifted shot-blocker that will cause havoc for the opposition.
Oregon, who plays a 4-out offense, and is an uptempo team with speed, will compliment Boucher’s game, as he will have the opportunity to play multiple positions.
The Ducks bring in the 2015 JUCO Player of the year, who will have two years left of eligibility.
Boucher is a very unique talent with NBA potential.
In the short-term, Coach Dana Altman and staff will be able to plug Boucher in for minutes in a variety of ways.
With the addition of Boucher, Oregon assistant Mike Mennenga has now brought in his third high level Canadian to the Ducks roster.
Both Ennis and Boucher will have an immediate impact in the PAC-12.
