BC’s Young Guns on Display
RICHMOND, BC–Youth was on display at the Drive Basketball Center in Richmond, British Columbia. The Future Stars Game, being held by the Drive Basketball program, pitted the top young players from all over the province in a contest against one another.
With the regular season now officially over, the Drive season has commenced. Drive founders Pasha Bains and Chad Clifford, both BC high school MVPs and CIS standouts, coach the program, and the all star game officially kicks it into full gear.

As far as the game itself, the white team got off to a fast start, leading 43-27 at halftime. They did manage to pull ahead by 20 at one point before team red went on their run. Led by solid efforts from Elijah Campbell-Axon, Will Latu, Alex Coote and Hayden LeJeune, they managed to pull to within one, at 66-65.
In the end, team white was too much, pulling ahead to a 74-68 deficit, which they were never able to overcome.
With 16 points and four rebounds, Elijah Campbell-Axon was named the team red MVP, and with 15 points, Jalen Jana was the most valuable player for Bains’ team white.
Both teams displayed a tremendous amount of skill and athleticsm. As far as basketball in British Columbia is concerned, rest assured, it is in good hands.
