May 16-18 UAA Circuit Preview: Canada Elite 17U, 16U, 15U

AAU season is well underway. The UAA Circuit is back in full swing this weekend, with top programs from across North America competing in another session. Representing the north will be Canada Elite in the 17U, 16U, 15U divisions. High level talent on each team for College Coaches to monitor.

NPH will also be in attendance, tracking the top Canadian Prospects while connecting with post-secondary programs. Going into the weekend, here’s a preview of what to look out for:

Canada Elite 17U

Prospects to watch:

6’3 Guard Jacob Mcgregor
-One of the top guards in his class with elite scoring ability, good feel, and a solid frame. Looks to build off his productive prep season, and will be the focal of Canada Elite’s offence. Expect a lot of things to go through him, which will allow him to showcase his abilities in front of scouts, coaches, and evaluators. Holds on offer from Morehead State

6’5 Guard Jenovie Kabeya
-Has the chance to blow up this session if he continues to shoot it at a high level like he’s shown in the past. Good size at 6’5 with ability to shoot off the catch or off the bounce. Holds offers from Towson and East Carolina.

6’3 Guard Kemar Grant
-There’s a high chance Kemar might be the most explosive player in the gym. Violent athleticism with fierce competitiveness. Competes defensively, uses his physical tools well and knows how to get under players’ skin. Strong guard who will be getting downhill at will, and has really improved as a shooter. Highly recommend coaches to take notice when he’s playing, as it won’t take long for him to stand out.

6’7 Wing Bennett White
-Good combination of size and skill at the wing position. Could be exactly what college coaches are looking for at a particular level in terms of a skilled wing who can do a bit of everything at 6’7. Can shoot it, attack closeouts, and make overall good decisions with the ball.

7’0 Big TJ St.Louis
-Solid big man prospect who is a product of NBA Academy. Looking forward to seeing how he’s developed, and how he can make his impact felt at his size. Not a lot of legit 7footers walking around.

5’9 Guard Zayne Mcfarlane
-Will surely catch some attention with his speed and ballhandling ability. Extremely skilled and crafty, expect him to compete with the best and always put up a fight.

Canada Elite 16U

Prospects to watch:

6’9 Forward Godson Okokoh
-One of the best Canadian prospects regardless of class. Extremely high upside as a 6’9 wing with athleticism, skill, motor, and IQ. Really showed out in the first session. He’s someone who is already being recruited at the HM level, with offers from Kansas, UCLA, Cal, USC, West Virginia, Creighton, TCU, and more.

6’3 Guard Kymani Walters
-Another elite level prospect in the Canadian 2027 class is PG Kymani Walters. Alpha guard who has been producing at an extremely high level for years now. Toughness and skill will be his most noticeable traits among others. You can also expect him to guard the opposing teams best players. Holds offers from Sam Houston State, Canisius.

6’3 Guard Favour Nkemka
-Lightning quickness combined with shifty ballhandling ability and elite scoring prowess is one way to describe Favour’s game. Another play who’s been producing at a high level for a while now. Might end up among the UAA leaders in steals with how well he guards the ball and plays passing lanes. Great instincts on both ends. Holds offer from Robert Morris.

Canada Elite 15U

Prospects to watch:

6’6 Guard/Wing Isaiah Hamilton
-The next big thing coming out of Canada, 2028 Isaiah Hamilton has gotten his far share of hype over the past year, deservedly so. With all the talent in the world, he’s done a fantastic job of staying focused and continuing to work hard. Expect him to display his world-class athleticism on both ends of the floor this weekend. Not sure of there are many, if any players his age that are as good as he is right now, not just in Canada but anywhere else in the world. Real deal.

6’3 Guard Kenyon St.Louis
-Highly skilled guard with a lot of poise for his age. I’m always impressed with the pace he plays at. Able to get anywhere he wants on the floor either for a score or assist. Will be a top PG in his class when it’s all said and done.

6’6 Guard/Wing Isaiah Clarke
-Another high upside wing to look out for. Does a lot of intriguing things at his size, and with many years left to develop he’s going to be someone to keep tabs on. Looking forward to seeing how he asserts himself this weekend.
