THROWBACK VIDEO: Steve Nash & Todd MacCulloch in CLASSIC Provincial Game

If you thought basketball was a new trend in Canada, you could not be more wrong.

Back in 1993 Team British Columbia, featuring a young Steve Nash, and former Philadelphia 76er Todd MacCulloch and Team Manitoba were part of an epic provincial game that came down to the wire, check out this incredible video courtesy of Basketball Manitoba.

B.C’s coach had a savvy game plan drawn up for his squad, informing two players they were ‘BOTH setting screens for Steven.’ Nash chimed in with some more info for his teammates, fresh off his first season at the University of Santa Clara.

The tradition of basketball excellence on the West Coast, established by players like these two former NBA’ers, has been carried on and continues today, something that is very evident as North Pole Hoops makes its way West on the Showcase Circuit.

Team Canada U17 guard Daniel Sackey showed out at the Manitoba NPH Showcase, exhibiting some crazy quickness and putting guys on skates on the court. Stay tuned to NPH for more videos from the West Coast tour, as the Showcase tour stops in Alberta this weekend.
