TORONTO,ON–NBA all-star weekend tipped off last night in Orlando with the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge.

If you’re a Canadian hoops fan, the primary player on your radar was none other than Brampton, Ontario’s Tristan Thompson who certainly rose to the challenge!

Thompson posted a team-high 20 points for Team Shaq.

Following the game, Lebron James tweeted,

At this pace, expect Thompson, the #4 overall draft pick to live out LBJ’s tweet moving forward.
