(OSHAWA, ON) The second of two Oshawa Power intra-squad games was played last night at G.L. Roberts C.V.I. in Oshawa.

The game turned out to be a one-sided affair as team white dominated team black to the tune of 104-89. Leading by seven at the half, team white came out on fire in the third quarter outscoring team black 30-18 and would never look back.

Team White got a big game from Toronto, Ontario native Kevin Francis, who displayed his soft touch from the outside scoring 19 points on 9 of 14 shooting from the field.

Jahaziel Howard had his coming out party in the third quarter. Howard went on a 6-0 run on his own, highlighted by a steal and coast-to-coast and-one finish. Howard also displayed intensity on the defensive end of the floor, stifling his opponent’s efforts to score on numerous occasions.

Akeem Wright had his second strong showing in as many games. Wright led team Black in scoring with 16.

The Power collected more non-perishable food items that will go to a great cause, the Feed the Need food bank and the $5 admission will go to The United Way and G.L. Roberts C.V.I.

The Power can now switch their focus to the preseason, which is set to begin and end with a pair of games against their Ontario rivals The London Lighting.
