Top 10 Dawwwgs from CNIT
This year’s CNIT was easily one of the most talented in a long time. Especially when it came to the depth within each division. Among all 120 teams flying in from across Canada and USA, it was almost hard to track all the talent between the 5 locations.
Our full scouting report featured over 30 players from different divisions. NPH Scouting Service Members can read the full report or subscribe here: https://northpolehoops.com/2025/08/01/top-standouts-from-cnit/
Top Scorers From Each Division
2026 6’3 G Jacob Mcgregor | Quantum Elite
One of the best scorers in the country. Proven at every level. Ability to takeover games with his offensive ability. Had 29 points in the first game of the tournament, and showed no signs of slowing down. Shoots it with range, can breakdown defenders off the dribble, hits tough shots, and finishes at the rim efficiently. Definitely has that IT factor. Plays with a swagger and confidence that rubs off on his teammates. Holds offers from NIU and Morehead State with more to come in as he’ll finish his final Prep season at Royal Crown.
2027 6’6 G Rasheed Morrison | Genesis
Rasheed has a chance to be one of the best prospects in a stacked 2027 class. Not many prospects have his mix of athleticism, motor, and shooting ability. A true inside-outside threat. He plays with a fierce competitiveness, and actually reminded me a lot of 2025 South Florida commit Tristan Beckford. However, that passion that he plays with can sometimes get the best of him. Once he learns to control that passion, he’ll continue to be a force on both ends. I’d also like to see him improve his weak-hand finishing and ball-handling. Small tweaks that will go a long way for a player as talented as he is.
2027 6’3 PG Favour Nkemka | Collective Elite
One of the top guards in his class, Nkemka is a lightning quick guard with a twitchy handle and elite ability to get downhill and finish around the rim. He is a ball-hawk defensively, he hounds ballhandlers and makes it difficult for them to initiate offence. He plays passing lanes really well too. Type of guard defender that can get you 5+ steals and contain opposing guards offensively. The next level for him is refining his outside shot. If he’s able to be a consistent outside threat, he’s basically unguardable. .
2027 6’1 PG Kyree Taylor | MC Elite
One of the biggest standouts at CNIT. Extremely shifty guard who plays at his own pace. His unpredictability and quickness make him a nightmare cover. Ability to create space, knockdown shots off the bounce, and finish thru contact. Averaged 21.8ppg in 5 CNIT games leading his division in scoring.
2025 6’0 Orin Niles | Elton Academy
Any USPORT/CCAA program that needs a scoring guard that can play right away need to be all over Orin. Has always produced against top competition whether in the NPA or at CNIT where he averaged 27ppg in 3 games. Shoots it with range, plays with toughness, and has ability to play both on and off the ball. High character. If I’m a coach, I’m taking him without hesitation. I feel like any coach that has actually watched him would feel the same.
2026 6’10 F Daniel Simon | Lakers Elite
I’ve been able to watch a lot of Daniel this summer. Both with Canada Elite on the UA circuit, and now at CNIT. Each time I see him he shows me something new. Lengthy and mobile forward who has good two-way upside, specifically as a rim-runner and shotblocker. However, I was extremely impressed with his shooting ability. Had 7 threes in the last two games of the tournament. Shooting it confidently, and simply able to rise up over smaller defenders. If he gets stronger he has serious upside.
2026 6’5 G Xavier Blake | Quantum Elite
Xavier’s recruitment has seen a serious uptick recently, picking up offers from Seton Hall, Manhattan, Nicholls, among others. I’ve always seen his upside as a quick-twitch lefty guard who is a crafty scorer. Elite shotmaking ability, and can get downhill. Improving his playmaking ability, but has a lot of great tools.
2027 6’7 F Jakson Hawke | Simcoe United
Jakson’s been having a very productive and successful summer. First, he took home the NPHShowcase Championship and Finals MVP with Simcoe United. Then, he showed out as one of the best players in his division at CNIT. Checks off a lot of boxes. Size for position, versatile skill, ability to stretch the floor with his shooting, toughness inside, defensive impact. Strong character too. As he continues to climb the ranks at various NPH events, he’s going to keep building his stock as a prospect.
2027 6’4 G Soren Nicholson | Genesis
Grade 11 Division Finals MVP on a stacked Genesis team. Quick, athletic, and skilled guard who played with aggression and confidence all tournament. Was the most consistent performer on the team and earned the MVP. Has an impressive and lengthy frame as well, recently growing to 6’4. Made a statement at this tournament, looking forward to tracking him going forward. He’ll be at J Addison this upcoming school year.
2028 6’2 Donovan Bilodeau | Drop-off Elite
Physical, defensive-minded guard that took home both Finals MVP and leading scorer of the tournament. Has good burst and a quick-first step that once combined with his strength makes him a tough cover going downhill. Showed some flashes of his shooting capabilities as well. Like most Quebec guards, he plays with toughness, physicality, and competes hard on both ends.
