What’s To Expect In NPHShowcase League, Gr.12 Division

The NPH Showcase League’s Grade 12 Division is loaded with talent, featuring programs across the country that will make for a highly competitive and entertaining season. From national-level rosters to up-and-coming prospects making a name for themselves, this division offers a preview of Canada’s next wave of postsecondary and pro-bound hoopers. Here’s a look at what to expect from each team entering the season.

CE23 Academy (Newfoundland)

Representing Newfoundland on the national stage, CE23 Academy is quickly becoming one of the most intriguing programs in the NPH Showcase League. Coached by former Canadian pro and national team standout Carl English, CE23 brings a professional-level approach to player development and game preparation.

The clear headliner is 2027 Guard Ryder English, one of the top young prospects in Atlantic Canada and widely regarded as the premier player from Newfoundland. A lights-out scorer with deep range and advanced shot creation ability, Ryder has already proven he can take over games and score at all three levels. His confidence, footwork, and ability to perform under pressure make him one of the most exciting players to watch this season.

Under Carl English’s leadership, CE23 Academy combines discipline, toughness, and skill — traits that reflect the program’s commitment to raising the bar for basketball in Newfoundland. Expect CE23 to make a strong statement against mainland programs and put the province firmly on the national hoops map.
