All American JUCO Showcase: Canadian Prospect Preview

The annual All American JUCO Showcase returns to Florida this weekend, bringing together some of the top junior college and high school prospects from across North America. This year, a strong Canadian contingent will be in attendance — a testament to the country’s growing pipeline of talent making waves south of the border. NPH’s Tariq Sbiet will be on-site evaluating both JUCO standouts and high-upside high school prospects ready to prove themselves on a national stage.

Below is a preview of the Canadian names to watch throughout the weekend.

Tricity Prep

Tricity comes into the showcase with a balanced and versatile roster featuring multiple prospects at different stages of their development.

2026 6’4 SG Harry Shellhammer is expected to provide perimeter scoring and spacing with his ability to shoot off movement and find gaps in the defense. His growth as a creator off the dribble and defender against athletic guards will be key. One of the top pure scorers and shooters coming out of Canada’s 2027 class. Has produced everywhere from NPA, to Grind Session. Great Britain National Team Member.

2027 6’9 F Stefan Ilic brings length, mobility, skill and intriguing stretch-forward potential. Extremely polished offensively – can play out of the low/mid post, pick and pop/roll, and even showing ability to attack closeouts. If he can get stronger and fill out his frame, he could emerge as one of the event’s breakout forwards.

2026 6’5 G Christian Kouame adds a tough, attacking presence in the backcourt. His handle, ability to create off the bounce, and strength around the rim will make him one to monitor. Constantly in attack mode.

2026 6’4 SG George Nassir is another capable scorer who thrives slashing to the basket and using his athleticism in transition. Developing more consistency from three-point range will take his game to another level, as well as adding mass to his frame.

Rounding out the group is 2028 6’0 PG Patrick Fordyce, one of the younger prospects in attendance. Fordyce’s poise, decision-making, and ability to orchestrate an offense will be tested against older competition — a valuable measuring stick for his development. He’s looked solid in his limited prep minutes thus far, particularly impressing with his on-ball defence. Not afraid to guard opposing teams best guards.

CODE Basketball

CODE will feature a trio of talented players representing both size and skill.

2026 6’1 PG Ethan Aris is a speedy, confident guard capable of breaking down defenders and creating opportunities for others. Scouts will be looking to see how he handles game management and consistency under pressure. Has a lot of weapons around him offensively which should make him shine as the lead guard.

2027 6’10 F Demba Diop possesses major upside with his length, timing, and natural shot-blocking instincts. His ability to run the floor, finish around the rim, and guard multiple positions will be closely evaluated.

2029 6’10 C Momo Sanogo is a raw but physically gifted young big. His coordination, touch, and motor will be key indicators of long-term potential — a name to keep in mind for the future.

William Academy

William Academy enters the showcase with a well-rounded core of athletes who can all contribute in different ways.

2026 6’4 G Caleb Coote is a steady two-way guard who competes hard and brings leadership to the backcourt. He has the tools to impact both ends of the floor through his defensive presence and shooting ability.

2026 6’8 F Amare Lincoln stands out with his combination of size and skill. His ability to stretch the floor, attack mismatches, and rebound in traffic will be a focal point for scouts.

2026 6’5 G Jenovie Kabeya adds athleticism and versatility on the wing. He’s shown flashes as a three-level scorer and will look to showcase his consistency and decision-making this weekend.

Hodan Prep

Hodan Prep brings two intriguing prospects who embody length, athleticism, and upside.

2026 6’8 F Ian McBride is a versatile forward who can guard multiple positions and impact games with his energy and rebounding. Very solid mobility for a big with good toughness. If his perimeter skills continue to improve, McBride could rise on college radars quickly.

2027 6’5 W Zach Downer brings toughness and a developing all-around game. He competes on both ends, and his ability to knock down open shots and defend multiple spots makes him a valuable piece in showcase settings. Consistency and motor are his next level.

Zephyrhills Christian

A pair of Canadian standouts will represent Zephyrhills Christian this weekend.

2028 6’6 W Rayane Djibril is a long, athletic wing who can attack downhill and finish through contact. His length gives him defensive upside, and if he shows improved shooting mechanics, he could solidify himself as a top national-level prospect.

2026 6’4 G Shivam Sharma provides scoring punch from the backcourt. With a confident handle and ability to create off the bounce, Sharma will look to make a statement against elite guard competition.

JUCO Canadians to Watch

A number of Canadians already competing in the JUCO ranks will also be in attendance — each looking to elevate their recruitment toward NCAA Division I programs.

6’7 W Yann Aphely (Chipola College) is a smooth, athletic wing who can defend multiple positions and stretch the floor. His combination of size and sheer athleticism could make him one of the most intriguing JUCO wings in Florida this weekend.

6’4 SG Marques Da Silva Romeo (Polk State) is a scoring guard known for his ability to create shots and shoot from range. If he can show more efficiency and playmaking versatility, his stock will rise among recruiters.

6’9 F Saad Chaudhry (Florida Southwestern) brings inside/outside scoring, rebounding, and rim protection. He has the tools to become a modern big capable of stretching out to the perimeter. Was a top stretch big coming out of Canada.

6’8 W Lana Agbelese (Eastern Florida State) is a fluid forward with a high motor who can attack closeouts and guard multiple positions. His development as a shooter and secondary playmaker will be key to his next-level projection. Has HM tools at his disposal between the size, length, motor, and skill.

6’0 PG Waris Njoya (Pensacola) is a tough, quick point guard with leadership qualities and the ability to dictate tempo. His command of the offense and decision-making under pressure will be closely evaluated.

The All American JUCO Showcase offers a unique platform where future NCAA and professional talent often emerges. With Tariq Sbiet and NPH on-site providing full coverage, Canadian prospects will have every opportunity to prove they belong among the elite.
