2028 G Sidiki Kromah is a Rising Star out of Windsor, Ontario
When you watch 2028 6’1 Guard Sidiki Kromah for Rise Up Elite out of Windsor, it’s hard to tell he’s only recently started to take basketball seriously.
One of his coaches even told me they almost cut him from the team 6 months ago. It wasn’t until the team played a random, for fun game of 21 where Sidiki absolutely dominated. They knew something was there, and they were determined to continue to develop him.
Fast forward to today, he’s the second leading scorer in the NPHShowcase Grade 10 Division at 21.6ppg, and one of the most dominant players with a very intriguing upside.
What impresses me the most about his game is how calculated and composed he is. Crazy to say, but his demeanour is almost Kawhi Leonard-esque. Never gets rattled, and at times can get whatever he wants on the offensive end by utilizing his strength and determination to either get downhill, or get to his spot in the midrange where he’s been extremely accurate.
He’s also displayed a really solid foundation as a triple-threat player with good footwork. This is why I was surprised to find out he’s still fairly raw. Not everyday you see players at his age show the ability to get to a spot out of the triple-threat in minimum dribbles. Sweeps low and strong with an explosive first step. These are the little things that stood out to me.
His coaches also rave about how well mannered and respectful he is. He combines coachability, talent, and a competitive drive. All the traits of a prospect with great upside.
He looks to help lead his team to a Championship June 21-22 weekend.
