Royal Crown pulls off 3 big comebacks in one weekend

This past weekend Royal Crown went 3-0 in NPH Scholastic League, winning all games in dramatic fashion.

After trailing in each of the games during the 4th quarter, they still managed to come back in each of them. It was a true showing of resolve demonstrated by this team.

In the first game against Bond, they trailed 19-12 after the first quarter and 40-45 at the half. 2026 6’1 PG Andy Gemao made big plays down the stretch and controlled the pace of the game in the second half. He would finish with 21 points, 11 assists, & 7 rebounds. Three other players would also contribute double digit points as 2027 6’2 PG Cordell Dias & 2026 6’6 F Ehikueme Ehikhametalor scored 16 apiece, while 2026 6’10 big Caleb Zhu had 15 points & 10 rebounds.

In their second game, they found themselves down big. Against St.Jude’s Academy, they were down 18 at the half. Coming out in the second half, they won the 3rd quarter by 10 and the 4th quarter by 15. They ended up winning 78-71 as once again Andy Gemao was brilliant. He finished with a near-triple double 21 points, 13 rebounds, & 8 assists. Caleb Zhu had a double double of his own finishing with 21 points & 14 rebounds.

Against JCM it looked like they finally met their match, going down 89-83 with 1 minute left. This was their toughest test of the weekend. Of course, they would go on to end the game on a 10-0 run and take the win 93-89. Caleb Zhu led the way in this one putting up a massive 29 points and 20 rebounds.

Royal Crown is now 6-2 on the season and are looking like legit contenders in the NPH Scholastic League. Battle tested with the talent to match.
