Northern Kings Loaded Squad Starts NPHShowcase Season Strong
One of the top Club Programs in Canada in regards to producing and developing talent. Alumni include but aren’t limited to: Zach Edey, Marcus Carr, Kobe Elvis, Kellen Tynes, the list goes on.
In the NPHShowcase Grade 12 Division, NK has put together a serious squad. Arguably the most talented team in their division. But as we’ve seen before, talent isn’t always enough to get it done. For a team like this, it’s important everyone understands their role and is in a position to maximize on their abilities. So far, they’ve done a pretty solid job of that starting the season 3-1.
Leading the way in scoring is 6’7 F Cairo Perry with 15ppg, followed by 6’6 F Austin Goode at 12.8ppg. PG duo of Isaiah Spencer & Cyrus Hassan averaging close to 10ppg, 6’0 G Tyreeq Dacosta contributing around 9ppg, Treyvon Folkes giving them about 8ppg to go along with a strong inside presence. Really spread out offence.
Most of these players we’ve seen this past NPA/NPH D1 season. Which is why when I first saw this collection of players teaming up, I knew they were going to be a problem. Still early in the season but safe to call them a title contender.
