Prince Oduro 6’8 Canadian Pledges Commitment to Siena
Another Canadian 2017 prospect has committed to an NCAA program. Prince Oduro is a top 50 prospect from this year’s Canadian graduating class. At 6’8 the bruising big man has chose NCAA DI program, the Siena Saints of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
Over the years we’ve seen him transition from playing in the low post to extending his game past 15 feet. Entering his freshman year, he’ll be playing as a hybrid forward for the Saints.
There were a total of 18 NCAA programs recruiting Oduru after his strong finish to the summer on the Under Armour Circuit with Canada Elite. Our final evaluation on him at an event in Indiana showed that he was using his strength well and utilizing his 230 pound frame to absorb contact.
Toledo, St. Bonaventure, Robert Morris and Duquesne were the final contenders in the process and schools that were under serious consideration.
“I’m expected to come in and produce right off the bat. I have self-expectation to be one of the best players in the league,” said Oduru very confidently.
He joins fellow Canadian scoring guard Kadeem Smithen with the Saints.
Siena recruited me the hardest, I’ve had a good relationship and it’s been building with Coach Patsos.
“I’ve been advised not to try and rush things, enjoy the process and trust the development from the staff and teammates around me.”
