CALGARY,AB–The HSBC Higher Hoops Classic is a major pre-season tournament in Canada based out of Alberta, and will feature some of the top teams and players in the province.
The week-long tourney (December 5-10) kicks off the Calgary High School basketball season for players, fans and coaches. It will bring together 64 high school basketball teams and 1,000 student athletes to compete for six divisional championships and thousands of dollars in scholarships.
These scholarships will be awarded to individuals participating in the tournament who demonstrate an outstanding combination of citizenship, leadership and academic proficiency.
More than 35 team members will be selected to receive $1,000 scholarships for post-secondary schooling.
