First Round Draft Pick, Canadian Jerome Brown Drops 26, Not Enough For Milrats

QUEBEC, QC–The Saint John Mill Rats first round draft pick, and the first Canadian player ever drafted into the National Basketball League of Canada, Jerome Brown, scored 26 points in his first ever NBL action but it was not enough as the Quebec Kebs prevailed 108-89.
Mill Rats Head Coach Jaren Jackson sat out seven players including Will Blalock, Anthony Anderson, Marc Egerson, Steve Deluca, Modibo Diarra, Sani Ibrahim, and Antoine Tisby.
“We wanted to get a live game look at certain guys to see how they’d do,” stated Jackson.
