National Basketball League of Canada Releases Combine Participant List
TORONTO, ON–The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to release its combine participation list.
“We are extraordinarily excited that our inaugural combine is sold-out,” said National Basketball League of Canada President & CEO, Andre Levingston. “The enthusiasm that players from around the world have expressed about this league is phenomenal. It’s going to be a great weekend.”
Over the two-day event, 180 players will participate in skill testing and live competitions to vie for an invitation to the inaugural NBL Canada draft.
Of the 163 players registered on the official combine list, 68 are Canadian, 93 are American and two are from Europe. An additional group of players from Japan, Europe and North America who have registered through their agents will also be participating in the combine.
The combine will be held on August 20 and 21 at the Seneca College Sports Centre in Toronto, and will be open to the both the public and the media.
50 players will receive an invitation to the league’s inaugural draft taking place on Sunday evening at 7 p.m. EST, with 30 spots reserved for Canadian players. The draft will be streamed live from the Rogers Centre on www.nblcanada.ca.
