TORONTO, ON–The 2014 Canadian star guard, Xavier Rathan-Mayes will be attending the powerhouse program based out of Henderson, Nevada otherwise known as Findlay Prep!
Rathan-Mayes will reclassify to the 2013 class for next season.
He will join Canadians Anthony Bennett and Naz Long, who are currently on the roster as it stands. In addition, he will continue the tradition of strong Canadian representation at Findlay with alumni including Tristan Thompson, Cory Joseph and Myck Kabongo.
The Findlay Prep coaching staff analyzed his play at the Pangos All-American Camp where he is currently competiing. Clearly, they liked what they saw.
According to Marilyn Rathan, X’s mother, “Findlay coaches were texting all day, they were in love with his game…they also love that he carries himself with such poise.”
That is “X” in a nutshell.
If you have ever witnessed the youngster in action, his leadership and composure stand out like a soar thumb. What seperates X from the rest of the pack is his mentality and strong will; a common trait that is looked for when running with the Findlay Prep Pilots.
“I’m feeling great knowing that I’ll be going to such a great school. This is what me and my family thought was the best decision for me to get better as a player and to excel,” said Rathan-Mayes.
“I’m so ecstatic,” he continued.
